Terms of service

PocketPDF provides free online tools for working with PDFs, documents and images. You can use the tools without an account; downloading files and creating or opening share links need a free account, created with Sign in with Google. We may add, change or remove tools, features and limits (such as the 50 MB file limit), and we don't promise the service will always be available or free of errors.

• You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• You sign in with your Google account; keep it secure. You're responsible for what happens in your PocketPDF account.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the dashboard. This permanently deletes its files and records.

Files you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store, process, convert and deliver them only so we can provide the service to you, including to people you send a share link to. You confirm you have the right to upload and process each file.

Files made before signing in are deleted after 1 hour unless you sign in, which moves them into your account. In an account they're kept until you delete them, within 1 GB. Deleted files can't be recovered, and PocketPDF isn't a backup service, so keep your own copies of anything important.

Don't use PocketPDF to:

• upload or share anything illegal, including material that exploits children, or content you don't have the right to use;
• remove protection from a PDF you aren't entitled to open or change;
• upload malware, or try to reach other people's files, our servers or other networks through the service;
• overload the service, get around its limits, or use automated tools to make heavy use of it;
• convert web pages in a way that harms or breaks the rules of the sites you convert.

We may remove content, revoke share links, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal content where the law requires.

Conversions, text recognition, compression and redaction are automatic. Check results before you rely on them, especially redacted documents and anything you send for legal, financial or official purposes.

Sign PDF places an image of your signature on the page. It isn't a certificate-based digital signature, and whether it's accepted depends on the document and the person you send it to.

PocketPDF is free and provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties about it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, documents, profits or opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Indian law.

If someone makes a claim against us because of files you uploaded or how you used the service in breach of these terms, you're responsible for it.

The PocketPDF name, logo, website and software belong to PocketPDF. Open-source components we use, such as pdfcpu, PDFium, LibreOffice, Chromium and Tesseract, remain under their own licences.

You can stop using PocketPDF and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or to protect the service and its users. If we shut the service down, we'll give account holders reasonable notice to download their files where we can.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that we can't settle by talking it through will be decided by the competent courts in India.
