Redact PDFs gone for good.

Draw boxes over anything sensitive, or search for a word or number to mark every match. Redacting removes the text, the picture pixels and any links or form fields underneath from the file, then covers the area in black.

02Questions

Common questions

Is the text really gone?

Yes. Characters under a box are taken out of the page, image pixels are blacked out in the picture itself, and every page with a box is checked afterwards. Copying, searching or removing the box won't bring anything back.

Why is a page now a picture?

When part of a page can't be taken apart safely (for example text inside a placed graphic), that page is replaced by a picture of the redacted page, so nothing hidden can remain. Other pages keep their text.
